Term 1 and 2: Employment rights and responsibilities
In this topic, students will explore 'Employment rights and responsibilities' which includes discussion around casual and part time jobs and professional conduct, confidentiality and how to deal with bullying in the workplace. We will also focus on trade unions and professional organisations students may come across in their working lives.
Students will participate in class discussions and debates.

Term 3 and 4: Financial Choices
In this topic, students will explore 'Financial Choices' which includes discussion around budgeting, salary deductions and tax, savings and debt. We will also focus on shares and the stock market, consumer rights and financial contracts and scams.

Term 5 : Media Literacy and Digital Resilience
In this topic, students will explore 'Media Literacy and Digital Resilience' which includes discussion around personal privacy, building a positive reputation online, social media and online bias. We will also focus on extremism and radicalisation in the digital universe.
Students will participate in class discussions, debates, and complete a self assessment following each unit to check their understanding.
